About
the Event
The French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) will host the first regional forum in the ‘Our Future: Africa-Europe Dialogues’ series.
Titled ‘Paths to Democracy’, the forum is a free, accessible to all, and collaborative public programme created with local partners that will focus on the revitalisation of democracy through innovation and creativity.
For democracy to be revitalised, citizens must be included in political decision-making, deliberation, participation and accountability. That’s why a co-constructed, innovative programme has been designed to include local and international perspectives from people of all ages.
We need to transform how we look at democracy by questioning inherited ways of thinking about democracy and forging routes to new models. Join us at Paths to Democracy as we co-create solutions to democratise the future and reflect the diversity of the people who will experience it.
Programme
The Paths to Democracy programme will start at 09:00 on Friday, 7 October 2022, and end at 19:00 on Saturday, 8 October 2022. Some events will have limited capacity, and there may be more than one event happening at a time.
View the programme details and reserve your place ASAP to avoid disappointment.
